Inspiration Wednesday...let's inspire Cecilia

i just wanted to share with you guys something Patty over at The Creative Type has put together. a beautiful project to benefit a very dear friend of her's daughter, Cecilia!!

from now until December we will be selling raffle tickets for the "Scrapbook for Cecilia" raffle!!

all proceeds will help benefit Cecilia

but here is a quick piece of the story...

on August 23rd of 2009, Thomas Occhiogrosso and his brother Joseph Occhiogrosso were struck and killed by a drunk driver. taken from this world to early, Thomas left behind a 2 and half year old little girl. this blog is dedicated to Thomas and his daughter Cecilia and the close to 3 years he spent being a wonderful, loving father.

it truly grips my heart beyond words with sadness & love.

here are the details...

from now until December we will be selling raffle tickets for the "Scrapbook for Cecilia" raffle.

the prize is now well over $300 dollars, jam packed full of great scrapbooking products from numerous companies & MAJOR cool product!!!

more contributions have been arriving every day only making the grand prize bigger

to purchase raffle tickets in 2 spots, use the "Add to cart" Paypal button in the right hand column (found on the website here & over at the The Creative Type)

each ticket is $1, if you buy 5 tickets you will receive two free

we will also be doing a special, if you refer someone to this raffle(and you purchase as well) and they mention your name when they purchase a ticket(s) you will receive an additional ticket for each person you refer

we will be emailing you with your raffle tickets so be sure to include your email address in your Paypal transaction

The Creative Type - Prompt #21 is UPPPPPPPPP!!!

our next prompt is all about negative space!

many of us cram it all in, fill a page up from corner to corner. with this prompt we want you to use that negative space and let it flow, let it relax and chill out. make a statement with your title, and just leave the rest be!

Sticky 2 – Naturals – Creative Imaginations – Bare Elements
Black Foil – Creative Imaginations
Decorative Brads – My Mind’s Eye – Boo to You
Border Sticker Sheet – My Mind’s Eye – Boo to You
Letter Stickers – Making Memories – Tiny Alphas – Black
Chipboard Letter Stickers – Cosmo Cricket – Ready Set – The Boyfriend
Bling Borders - ZVA

(Other Product) Materials List:
Date Labels – 7 Gypsies
Felt Ribbon – Creative Imaginations – Creative Café – Lime Green

Instructions:
1. Follow directions on the packaging for the Sticky 2 – Naturals – Creative Imaginations – Bare Elements and using the Black Foil – Creative Imaginations. Apply to the top left of the page and at very bottom of the page.
2. Using paper scraps from Paper – My Mind’s Eye – Boo to You and Border Sticker Sheet – My Mind’s Eye – Boo to You, cut various sizes to use on layout. For example, I cut some strips in length 4”, 5”, 4 ½” to have varied lengths.
3. Apply Date Label – 7 Gypsies to photo (approx 3” x 4”) of choice. Apply Letter Stickers – Making Memories – Tiny Alphas – Black (Oct) to label.
4. Apply three varied paper scraps and sticker strips below picture. Attach brad from Decorative Brads – My Mind’s Eye – Boo to You to left edge of strip as shown.
5. Attach photo (approx 3” x 4”) of choice. To the right of photo, apply Chipboard Letter Stickers – Cosmo Cricket – Ready Set – The Boyfriend (“fall”).
6. Apply three more varied paper scraps and sticker strips below picture. Apply Felt Ribbon – Creative Imaginations – Creative Café – Lime Green over 2 strips as shown. Attach brads from Decorative Brads – My Mind’s Eye – Boo to You along every other hole in ribbon.
7. Apply Bling Borders – ZVA. (approx 3 ¾” in length). Apply two more varied paper scraps and sticker strips. To the right of the last strip, attach brad from Decorative Brads – My Mind’s Eye – Boo to You.
