purchased a new art journal!!
& i found just the one i was looking for....the perfect cover
&
perfect pages (tattered edges, the weight of paper great for all types of mediums - getting back to drawing portraits, painting, and trying new mixed media techniques)
cool cover, eh?!
anyhoo, i spent saturday night discovering & playing with new & fun techniques in my art journal.
i've been wanting to try photo image transfer for awhile now & finally bought the product to work the magic - Golden Regular Gel Medium (Matte) - kind of pricey $ - but sooooo worth it.
voilaaaaaaaaa....
inkjet printer of photo + foam brush + gel medium + heat gun....
plus a white acrylic paint + water wash around the edges of the photo to soften it a bit.
i'm looking forward to playing more with the page with text & colors...
i have TONS of travel photos from work trips in Europe from the past 5 years
& looking to work with them in different techniques & altered ways :)
