Inspiration Wednesday...crushing on home decor ideas....

i've been in the process of
starting a new & exciting job.
getting ready for movers.
moving to a new city.
and looking forward to new beginnings.
so, ScrapNspire has been on hold for a bit due to these changes.

in this process, i'm crushing on home decor ideas.
i've bookmarked wayyyyyy too many (and/or filed some away in my mental bank for safekeeping)
but always inspired by colors, art, shapes, and interesting combinations of design.

something about a new place, new room layout, new ideas that inspire.
i will still use a lot of the same items i used in my previous apartment(s) but always on the hunt
for fresh, clean, classic, some vintage, and always sophisticated ideas.

and here are a few ideas that have spoken to my heart these past few weeks...

Memory Works ele.ment.ary Sneak Peek #4: Thank you, new add-ons....and plus a couple of give-a-ways!!!

A quick FYI
The ele.ment.ary kit products are scheduled to ship in mid-August…if you want to know when they’re available for purchase please sign up for our Simple Stories email here so you’ll be the first to know as soon as they’re available to purchase.

Memory Works printed only half as many kits as  they did with the first Life Documented kit release – so if you love this collection and don’t want to miss out be sure to snatch it when you can in August…just in case! The complete kit retails for $16.99 and will be available for purchase directly on my Memory Works website here.

Memory Works Extends a Heartfelt Thank You!

This has been an exciting week for MemoryWorks!
It was a dream come true for Amber & Kevin (the founders of Memory Works) to finally be able to launch their very own exclusive product line in January 2010 (a.k.a Simple Stories) when they introduced their signature Simple Stories kit Life Documented. In case you're new to hearing about Memory Works company or are just now learning about them, you can check out more here, MemoryWorks has been in the industry for over 8 years, with hundreds of consultants and hobbyists throughout the country.  They are a direct-sales scrapbook company that has always prided themselves on offering a one-of-a-kind consultant opportunity featuring the top name-brand scrapbook products in the industry, including BasicGrey, Cosmo Cricket, Fancy Pants Designs, Bo Bunny, etc. Their philosophy (and even their slogan) is all about offering the "products you love for the moments you cherish". They wanted their customers and consultants to enjoy their favorite name-brand products through the unique and personal touch of home-based scrapbook consultants. It had always been their dream to one day launch their very own MemoryWorks branded products (in addition to the great names we already carry), but they're a small, family owned company with limited resources. It was a BIG risk for them to jump in and design and produce their very own product line…and they put a lot of faith and trust in their consultants to help spread the word about their great product line.

Because of the success of the first kit - and the dedication and support of the great MemoryWorks team members, consultants, and customers they are now able to expand their Simple Stories family with another new collection.  So, a big THANK YOU from the bottom of the heart for your excitement and enthusiasm for this next release, ele.ment.ary.
Drum Roll….Announcing Add-ons!

With that in mind, the exciting announcement that they’ve been dying to share with consultants and customers! They are beyond excited to announce that with the release of the new ele.ment.ary kit, they will also be offering add- on products as a part of the collection!!
That’s right…you now get more options when it comes to customizing and creating your Simple Stories products! Yippee!!

So exciting….I hope you’re just as excited as we are about these added embellishments. They are so functional and perfect for use when sharing your story…which is what Simple Stories is all about without further ado….introducing the new Simple Stories add-ons:

Journaling Jots

We LOVE these journaling jots! It just adds that extra touch to photos, element pieces and layouts. These type of journaling die-cuts are popular in the industry right now…but these are extra special! They were designed to be DOUBLE-SIDED with fun icons and phrases on the front side with blank journaling spots on the back side so it gives you the best of both options! How ingenious and super-cool is that?! In fact, you’ll want to purchase 2 packs just so you can use all of the front side designs and the backsides too
! There are 20 die-cut journaling jots, and they come already punched out and packaged in a cute little clear polybag.  Gotta' love that, eh? ;-)

6x12 Alphabet Stickers

6x12 Expression Stickers

Yay– we have extra stickers!! They wanted to add an extra alphabet in addition to the sticker sheet included in the kit…don't you love that it pops with color?!! This alphabet is very sleek and is sure to be one of your favorite letter stickers. They wanted to give everyone the option of little ledger letters to match the bigger letters…so what better way than to combine them on one sticker sheet! You’ll notice that they included a variety of cream journaling areas on the element pieces…this gives you the option to add the colorful letters and embellishments. Lots of options when journaling and documenting your memories. Again these are printed on thick cardstock and super sticky!

**Edited - Oops - The mock up image of the Expresion Stickers includes a misspelled word "Field Trip"...they inadvertantly uploaded the incorrect image for the sneak peek post. Please rest assure that this HAS BEEN FIXED prior to the printing and spelling will be correct on the actual stickers. Thanks for your understaning :)**

Designer Cardstock Set

Okay – you asked and they listened. :)
Memory Works will offer individual sets of the designer cardstock paper for purchase in addition to the main ki!! This was the most requested item…and it makes perfect sense. It’s always handy to have extra sheets of paper for those extra layouts, customized elements, altered projects, etc. This set gives you 8 sheets, 2 of each included in the kit!

Check out these 2 Give-a-ways!!
WIN it before you can buy it!

Hopefully you are just as excited as we are about this release….and there is even more great news.
Memory Works will be rewarding ONE LUCKY blog reader with a complete ele.ment.ary package - the complete ele.ment.ary kit, the extra paper set, the 2 6x12 stickers, and the journaling jots..almost $35 in value. at this time. at this moment.

listening: to the TV

eating: nothing (but i had pizza for dinner)
drinking: lemonade

wearing: t-shirt + skirt + sandals

feeling: energized (maybe because i just finished some P.M. yoga)

weather: hot but chillin' under the A/C

wanting: cheesecake with strawberry topping

needing: to unpack my suitcases from work travel this week (yep, procrastinating on that but going to do it before i jump in bed tonite)

thinking: about new inspirational ideas (i'm moving to a new city & apartment the end of this month & excited to decorate again), spinning on new ideas for the blog & new mini book ideas (earlier plans had to be put on hold for the mini book kits (however, it's still in the works...) due to starting a new job & moving soon to a new place)  but always something creative on my mind.  it keeps me sane. :)

enjoying: some time in the recliner and watching tv (not too exciting but relaxing).

wondering: if my mom is enjoying her trip to NYC & Canada this week.  we usually talk every day but our schedules have been out of the loop this week but i'm excited to see her again this Sunday when i pick her up.  i know she's tired but having a good time!  her first time to use a digital camera and she told me she's taken about 200-300 pics!!!  i can't wait to upload her pics when she gets home & hear her stories from the trip!

feel free to join in!
link me up to your post in the comments!

Memory Works ele.ment.ary Sneak Peek #3: Paper, stickers and more!

12x12 Designer Cardstock

how about some close up views of the papers?

It's okay to swoon...We are seriously in love with the designer cardstock paper that's included with the ele.ment.ary kit. Don't you just love the journaling page?  EEEEEEK!!!  Remember the front side makes a great cover page for your album (if you're choosing to use the kit for an album-type project) and the backside is the PERFECT area to add bits of information and journaling. We've kept the journaling prompts very general so you can use a journaling page for each year....or just one journaling page for the entire album!

Remember that all of the products you've seen so far, including todays sneaks, are all of the contents in the ele.ment.ary kit. This cardstock is high-quality, seriously thick paper that you can use to create full page layouts, customize your own elements, altered projects....the possibilities are endless! And if you like this paper....you definitely need to check out the sneak peek tomorrow as we have something up our sleeves that you are going to LOVE!

Isn't it amazing?
So not only do you receive all of the elements showcased earlier this week, but you also receive the cardstock paper and the beautiful embellishments below!
Okay, here's the remaining contents included in the kit...
(and like I said...it really is okay to swoon!)

These are the fabulous 12x12 stickers included in the kit....we love the ledger alphas, borders, icons...well pretty much everything...again so many possibilities. These stickers are the perfect compliment to the patterned paper and elements in the kit and can be used in so many ways. You will love that these stickers are new and improved with major stickiness! Seriously...these stickers are heavy duty - super sticky and super thick! We think you'll love them!

Now to spill the beans about these...just like in our last Life Documented kit the transparancies are great for overlaying over 4x6 photos in the divided page protectors....but this time they're in COLOR!!!!! How great is that....vivd, bright, vibrant colors to coordinate perfectly with all of the components of the kit. They are amazing...and look beautiful over any photo....colored, sepia, b/w! What's even better is we've added the extra bonus of colored transparancies, but the retail price will remain the same as our Life Documented kit so there's major value there!!

As part of the Memory Works design team, I'm SERIOUSLY excited about this kit!
The paper quality is my favorite because it is more like a text stock (very nice quality, none of that flimsy paper) & all the elements that add the perfect touch!
I can't wait to create mini books with this kit (oh yes, many possibilities besides just 12x12) ;-)

There you have it....the first 3 sneaks have been all about the ele.ment.ary kit contents. Let us know what you think!! Tomorrow, over on the Simple Stories Blog, there are a few more surprises, inspiration...and an awesome giveaway.

DON'T MISS IT!
