The Creative Type//Eat Love Pray Challenge

It's uppppp!!!
New prompt up for April over on The Creative Type
 &
it's another great challenge...

"Eat Pray Love"
which are you??
That's the prompt for April's The Creative Type.
This is a fun one to play along with because there's so many picture and journaling posssibilities.
Come play along with us!!

As you can see from my take on the challenge, I feel I'm equally all 3,
so I took a capture of all in the reveal below..

1) I love to EAT - good food, ok GREAT food, and across different cultures...Mexican & Italian are my favoritessss & I could eat pistacchio gelato 5 times the size of the earth (and I'm sure I would exercise a bazillion times more to burn the calories)....
2) PRAYER is a daily part of my life...my rock, my strength, I can put full trust in Him, my soul, my foundation.   Many tough points in my life...career, relationships...but I always draw upon God to get me through, and although people may fail to be what I think they are, He never fails me.
3) LOVE...always a story "to be continued" in my life....(too many times, too many people mess with my head...lies lies lies..., my generosity, and my kindness, but one day I will know the one has arrived...)...

I previously posted up sneaks here
&
now, hereeeeee is the full reveal
(along with supply list too!)

how about some NEW sneaks??

It was a fun-filled weekend, the great weather, packing packing
for my move to my new apartment - so excited to move across the Bay!!
AND
It felt so good to create it up in my art studio this past weekend!!!
From my wee morning inspo blogged up here, I finished up
a 12x12 layout last night for an upcoming challenge to be posted soonnnnn

In the meantime, here are some sneaky peeks for ya...

Once I get the "ok" {meaning the project will be posted first up over on The Creative Type blog}
then I'll post it up here too
PLUS
I'll post the full supply list
{since many like to know the stamps + other mega good stuff I use in my projects}
hint hint...i'm much in new love with Clearsnap Smooch Spritz
I'm thinking I'm lovin' this stuff better than Glimmer Mist!
Couple of reasons...
1) less water content,
2) dries fast (great if you are working on several elements on the page and need to move on quickly),
3) no warping of paper from water content,
4) intense colors but still the twinkling sparkle...
ok, more than a couple of reasons but you need some of this in your stash...
just sayin' ;-)

Oh, and Etsy Love {Sunday} will come on "hump" day tomorrow...
So, it will be Etsy Love {Wednesday} :)

a bit of wee morning inspo...

"People think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that's what everyone wants. But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that is holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life.... A true soul mate is probably the most important person you'll ever meet, because they tear down your walls and smack you awake.... A soul mates purpose is to shake you up, tear apart your ego a little bit, show you your obstacles and addictions, break your heart open so new light can get in..." ~ Elizabeth Gilbert

"Someday you're gonna look back on this moment of your life as such a sweet time of grieving. You'll see that you were in mourning and your heart was broken, but your life was changing..." ~ Elizabeth Gilbert

"How could two people who were so in love not end up happily ever after? It had to work. Didn’t it?" ~ Elizabeth Gilbert

"Life's metaphors are God's instructions." ~ Elizabeth Gilbert

"Happiness is the consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it. You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestations of your own blessings. And once you have achieved a state of happiness, you must never become lax about maintaining it. You must make a mighty effort to keep swimming upward into that happiness forever, to stay afloat on top of it." ~ Elizabeth Gilbert

a few of my favorite quotes...because
i'm being iNsPiReD by
one of my favoriteee books, "Eat Love Pray"
mainly because i can relate to Elizabeth on so many levels
it's as if this book is a scroll of my life from the past 12 years....
so many crooks, turns, hills, mountains, journeys (across the world), falling in love (with someone across the world), love, lost love, love found (again across the world), lost (again), found again...strength, determination, humor, sarcasm, success, career, acceptance, and survival...
sometimes i'm told i should write a book
{but i think it might fill up a trilogy}
completely inspiring book....
(and the movie was very nicely done but honestly lacked a lot of the humor from the book)
also, this book is inspiring
an upcoming project for what i'm creating on tonite...
but i can't reveal (yet) :)
i know...i'm full of secrets lately
(go ahead & beat me down...well, not literally pleaseeee)

Anyhoo, check out the book if you haven't read it yet...
Kindle it, Nook it, Ipad it with IBooks, or just hit the old fashioned library
but a must read for you book lovers!

also, her follow-up book, "Committed", is now out & i've been reading it
off & on on my iPad
{i'm not a consistent reader, it might take me a year+ to finish a book...no joke...
i have too many things i like to get into, mainly this thing called scrapbooking}
anyhoo, this book is a different turn from "Eat Pray Love"
but also a nice read so far..

oh sweet sunshine & blue skies today....

"sweet. home. alabama. where the skies are so blue"...
{and just an added bonus that i live so close to the beach too - insert smile here - oh yes}
warm warm temps today...85F & flip flops...gotta' love it :)

so, i was out & about today, windows down,
enjoying the weather
&
almost went for a drive down to the beach
{which is only about 45 min from my apartment - insert another smile here}
and
LOTS of sunshine too...
sighhhh...priceless.

a couple of benefits to living in the South.
Spring really does arrive on time {if not earlier}
but today really felt like summerrrrr.

now, time to kick back for some creative time
that is LONGGGG overdue...

OH!
and i cannot wait until Friday, 4/1
{and it's no April Fool's joke - wink wink}
{well, really i can't BUT i will have to...re-attaching the tape to the lips asap here before i get scooped out}
because i have more BIG NEWS to share up....

hope everyone is having a FANTASTIC weekend!!
{a few bumpy hills to mine - but no mountains -  so i swear it's going to be all.good.}

staying iNsPiReD by my OLW...fear.less.

A few weeks ago, I shared up that I started on the journey this year
of working on my OLW ("one little word") that will
basically be my glue, foundation, and rock for the year
FEAR.LESS.

Getting into the word more & more day to day
thinking on it, breathing it in, no procrastinating but actually living without fear.
I've always been quite confident & bold in life but we all have the nudge of
fear that creeps in every now & then...
Looking up the word in good ol' Websters dictionary shared new meaning
and ways of how "fearless" is defined & honestly I was quite amazed at the different
variations & synonyms of the word.

Planning to work some more this weekend on my
OLW year-long album because I'm itching for
a creative escape.
Look for peeks soon...once I get going with it.

In the meantime, the ad below truly inspired me...
so worth reading & thinking on each piece of this.

this album is on repeat repeat repeat....

Adele.
one word.....AMAZING.
so inspiring.
{if only i had a fraction of her voice}

not many times i love 99.9% of an entire album, but this one is beyond words.
here are couple of my fav songs from her latest CD, "21"...

{mute tunes at bottom of blog to listen in}

in this song, bittersweet & beautiful lyrics...

I heard that you're settled down,
That you found a girl and you're married now,
I heard that your dreams came true,
Guess she gave you things I didn't give to you,
Old friend, why are you so shy?
Ain't like you to hold back or hide from the light,

I hate to turn up out of the blue uninvited,
But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it,
I had hoped you'd see my face,
And that you'd be reminded that for me it isn't over,

Never mind, I'll find someone like you,
I wish nothing but the best for you, too,
Don't forget me, I beg,
I remember you said,
"Sometimes it lasts in love,
But sometimes it hurts instead,"
Sometimes it lasts in love,
But sometimes it hurts instead, yeah,

You know how the time flies,
Only yesterday was the time of our lives,
We were born and raised in a summer haze,
Bound by the surprise of our glory days,

I hate to turn up out of the blue uninvited,
But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it,
I had hoped you'd see my face,
And that you'd be reminded that for me it isn't over,

Never mind, I'll find someone like you,
I wish nothing but the best for you, too,
Don't forget me, I beg,
I remember you said,
"Sometimes it lasts in love,
But sometimes it hurts instead,"

Nothing compares,
No worries or cares,
Regrets and mistakes, they're memories made,
Who would have known how bittersweet this would taste?

Nevermind, I'll find someone like you,
I wish nothing but the best for you,
Don't forget me, I beg,
I remember you said,
"Sometimes it lasts in love,
But sometimes it hurts instead,"

Nevermind, I'll find someone like you,
I wish nothing but the best for you, too,
Don't forget me, I beg,
I remember you said,
"Sometimes it lasts in love,
But sometimes it hurts instead,"
Sometimes it lasts in love,
But sometimes it hurts instead.

Etsy Love Sunday.

on Etsy.

this butterfly print with ephemera & etchings.

this sweet pillow, “Love is Patient”.

lovin’ the colors in this 70’s vintage dress.

vintage bottle caps are always so fun.

iNsPiReD.

sometimes....but always...

sometimes....
i wish i had the power to stop being vulnerable to people who abuse my kindness.
i wish to stop giving repeated second chances when i can already predict what the outcome may be.
to say goodbye, and mean it, to people who are liars (but my good heart always stumbles me to believe otherwise that people can change).
to stop giving giving giving to those who would never do the same.
wishing that things would change but all along knowing life brings what is best....for everything there is a reason."
wishing i had a "magic wand to give people a wake up call to reality.
wondering "what if..." and "why not..."

always...
but i find power in prayer + my own strength.
believing in myself.
staying true to my values.
knowing that all will be brought to light the best in what i need.
believing in miracles & dreams (because lately i've experienced many beautiful miracles).
wanting others to succeed too.
having patience.
showing love in greater volume than i receive love.
being kind.
creative.
