Project Highlights - 

• Used the Authentique "Glory" collection (6x6 paper pad) for the majority of the pages in this mini.
• Chose the title "Oh Free Girl" in inspiration from this collection but also my point in life, my freedom, and basically where I am today in my life at this point in 2012. So, I wanted the theme of my mini to as reflection on my life now and also in theme for the upcoming July 4th holiday but without the theme so much on July 4th celebration, make sense?
• Used the Silhouette Cameo for several of the titles on the different pages. LOVE LOVE the Cameo! Did I say I love the Cameo?
• Of course, last, but certainly not least, sprinkles of pearls & bling from Want2Scrap found here.
• Ink dyed tags and doilies, inked wood embellishments, and lots of texture and layers.

So, what about those prizes?!

Hampton Art // CHA + 7 Gypsies: For.The.Love.

So, a bit of news I've kept under "wraps"

for awhile....

SO HONORED to be invited by Hampton Art to collab up 

with 7 Gypsies in creating projects for the 

upcoming CHA Summer Show happening

July 16 - 19, 2012, Chicago

Happens 2x a year

(last show was in Jan 2012 in Anaheim, CA)

Only one of the most major & amazing

scrapbook + all things crafty shows of the year!!

Well, after a bit of work travel last week, I

came home to this awe.some.ness from 7 Gypsies!

The 7 Gypsies van made a MAJOR pit stop and

gave me LOTS LOTS LOTS of creative possibilities

(including the new team up with Canvas Corp)

so, LOTS of Canvas Corp in the mix too!

I've LONG been a MAJOR fan of 7 Gyspies
since they came on the scene of the scrapbooking/art world
and NOW 16+ years into my "art life", to create projects
for them at CHA...beyond honored & blessed.
(yes, I wiped a tear..or two..)

I've always loved their eclectic touch and vintage touch
to ALL of their product and literally pushing 
your mind to create "out of the box".
Love the challenge, love the product...it's all good.

I spent the other night sketching out ideas 

for my creations.  

My mind was literally spinning...

Hampton Art // Color My Word: FULL reveal

A bit of free time this a.m.

before boarding my flight back home to Alabama

from a work week of auditing in Arkansas

{and always love when free wifi in the airport}

{double insert: ALL airports should have free wifi}

and a head nod to that one. :)

Anyhoo, ANOTHER design team project will reveal 

up in FULL detail shortly this a.m.

over at the Hampton Art blog and this one 

really brings some sunshine, color, and brightness to the day!

When I received this collection of Doodlebug Designs product

from Hampton Art (and Doodlebug "powers that be")

I wanted to bring the love of the rainbow into this 

project because the product just made me "happy" 

on the rainy day that I made this project.

Hopefully, you can relate to that...

not all days are perky perk, ya' know?

{and if someone tries to tell ya' otherwise, well, they just

might be lying pretty thick, ha!}

Hampton Art // Unforgettable Memories: Sneak Peek

So, last night I knocked out my second project

this month

for Hampton Art 

and this time it's a card.

I love hot air balloons

[still never been up in one...but one day...]

I love the thrill of things of height...

roller coasters...super yep, love.

and I'm pretty sure I would try jumping out of plane too

[just as long as I'm not landing in water,

because this girl still can't.swim.a.lick....confession]

I'm thinking I would 

survive the plane jump but die in a drowning.

[Truth in how my life works in those quirky ways.]

This girl loves the thrill, chill, adventurous stuff.

So, the hot air balloons & summertime

inspired this card and you'll see the full reveal
