I can rightly say

the SOUL of my culture 
is deep in my blood

Many days it feels we have taken
a step back in time...
(yes...attitudes, prejudice, slights
and words of wrong still exist
and 
amazingly some are right on your heels)
Other days we have taken leaps ahead.

I will always say...

It's pretty amazing to be 

an African American
and I will never
look upon that in shame.

Enjoy it up. Groove it out.

Chill it out.

We are the rhythm & the blues.
