i'm always in awe of his style, his techniques...simply, he just ROCKS IT with stamps!
he's just uber-talented!
so, i can't say i'll be able to resistttttttt these fabulous new stamps.

trip to the post office in Garching [thanks to a super sweet co-worker, Conny, that is always so nice to take me since i don't have a car here]. i think i was in a good mood at the start of the morning because i knew i would get my Studio Calico August kit "Over the Rainbow" + add-on "No Place Like Home" [a little delay for me in receiving since i'm now across the big ocean but definitely worth every minute (and second) waiting for it + the extra cost i pay in shipping].

i definitely was spoiled to the quick shipping back home in Alabama. i would receive the shipment notice the day before and receive my kit the next day because i was just a couple of states from the Studio Calico office. gosh, i miss that! but....now that i'm in Europe, this is 1 of the 2 kit clubs i kept membership and seriously it's a MUST HAVE! these kits SELL OUT each month like the night of reveal almost, so definitely on my "to keep" list :]

gotta' love me some Studio Calico!!! it's my delicious yummy treat for self spoiling each month!

something about opening the box, seeing the kraft colored paper bags...

feeling the thickness of the package, knowing some one-of-a-kind clear stamp inside, breaking the Studio Calico seal, and holding breath for the delicious treats waiting inside.....

and usually i resist an add-on kit...but seriously, i caved in to the temptation on this one allllllll because of that super cool bingo card mini book by Melissa Frances, so picked up this add-on kit. definitely BIG smiles when i saw it. :] new scrap stuff can have that effect on us, right? (no comment needed from non-scrappers, yes, that would be my sister *haha*) ;]

alsoooooooooo some more major love coming from home [shout out big thanks to mom for mailing my scrap goodness from home that she's been stashing for me (to save on shipping costs)]. so, i ALSO received this package today packed with the Memory Works Express Kit Club, August 2009, "Untamed". way tooooooo much cuteness yet bold, brave colors and courageous, confident designs!!!! so, i'll crank out some design team projects with this fab kit! look for that coming soon!

andddddddd...these were also in the box from home! funny when my mom received the box, "some stamps, did you order these wendy?" "ohhhhh yeahhh, throw them in my box coming to germany too :] " *haha* again, thanks mom! mucho love!! <3

Economic Crisis is all over the news, and we know a lot of you have been very creative with making penny wise projects to preserve your memories! We at Scrapbook Outlet Online want to see what you've made and share all these good ideas around!

All you have to do is send us your layouts with a list of items you used in the layout and how much you paid for each item. After the deadline for entry has passed, we will send out all the layouts and YOU will vote (not us). Here's the catch: You have to be on our mailing list to enter and you have to be on our mailing list to vote (which you are of course). Also, get your friends involved in voting for you :]

When your friends join our mailing list, then they will able to vote - for you! And when you win, you will be happily filling up your basket to the tune of 50 EURO!!! Inspiration Wednesday...i'm all about the "mini"

i've a huge love for mini albums & usually this is my go-to type of project for scrapbooking preferably over layouts. so, these Chatterbox mini albums found here really made my heart skip a beat!!

lots of possibilities with these...stamping, painting, embroidery...you even get a linen drawstring pouch to protect your finished treasure. so, another fun piece to alter up!

great wood veneer cover on this one! my mind spins with the options on altering it up! dying to put some paint & rubons to this one or just leave all natural! also, this would make a great album for a guy, nature/outdoorsy album....

loveeeeeeeee the denim! like a well-worn pair of your favorite jeans! what's not to love about this one!

but then you see things in not so "black & white" but "full of color" & life...
so many variations found in this video (along with the lyrics).
life can be & colorful all the same. it's all about taking the curves of life thrown at you and making them colorful in your own way. happiness is finding that within yourself. many times things can go from "black & white" to colorful in connections...art, chemistry, love...enjoy :]
