back from a crazy 2 weeks of work travel for an audit in madrid, rome & milan.

sunday scrapping....

and it feels good! :]

FINALLY, finding my mojo again!

i moved apt last sunday to another one above my floor and i think the setup is better too for my scrapping. leaning over to scrap on the coffee table wasn't working (back pain), sitting on the floor, nope, (too hard) even with a pillow. so, i have a nice desk, lamp, better daylight lighting, and the desk i turned around when i'm scrap. so, i'm finding the groove again, which was MUCH needed :]

Foto Friday...Blythe Dolls

so, checking out collectibles on this side of the globe, i've discovered Blythe Dolls.

at first, i wasn't sure if i liked them, scared of them [i admit some of them are still a little freaky with the large eyes]....but i've concluded that i LOVE them. especially, after seeing how intricate they are made, exclusively handmade, and reading a little history on them, they have so much character. plus, and you can dress them up [there are TONS of Etsy shops with outfits & accessories for them] and what girl that loves to shop, doesn't like that?!! i've read these dolls were only sold 1 year in the US back in 1972.

what can i say, i played with all 16 barbie dolls + 3 cabbage patch kids (back when they first came on the scene, were selling out all over, my mom had ordered me one of the originals from 1983 - gosh i still remember the day it came UPS i was THE MOST EXCITED little girl jumping up & down). i played with my dolls until i was xx age... *haha* what can i say, i had a great childhood. thanks mom & [rest in peace dad].

anyhoo, maybe one day one a Blythe will be in my budget since they don't come with a cheap price tag...but they are definitely exclusive.

Thursday Affirmations...

we all need affirmations time-to-time to lift us, remind us, INSPIRE us. this great artist, Laura George, found on Etsy really speaks to my heart (and i hope yours too). :]

daily affirmations to take care of yourself, love yourself, and a self-love encouragement now & then.

these are a few of my favs from her Etsy shop...

sometimes we have lots of stones, trials, and hardships thrown our way. perhaps some things have been with us internally our entire life, but we must remind ourselves that "things are going to work out".

do you blame yourself for "what if this..., what if that..., if i had done this... instead of that..."? don't beat or blame yourself. "be nice to YOUrself". look to the now & look at the possibilities of what can happen now for YOU.

sometimes for all the "trees" in the forest, we might feel we are losing direction, hopes, our goals, but go with the flow and make your own music to find your path amongst all the trees.

perhaps you're the "bulls eye" or target for every bow & arrow shot when you know in your heart you have done everything right? i love this affirmation that "you're doing everything right" despite what others may think. sometimes envy, jealousy, and hatred lead to targeting you for standing true to yourself, your methods, and way of getting things done. "you're doing everything right."

there are days we look in the mirror. we examine ourselves in the our physical mirror. we examine ourselves in our emotional mirror. you must find beauty in who you are, "you are beautiful". although we might feel we look like the beast instead of beauty in the mirror [many mornings] *haha* but we are ALL beautiful [or handsome, for you guy readers]! :]

we are living in the peak of the internet world. power goes out, we think "i can't get online!!" we move apt or house, "gotta' get the internet going!!" where would we be without it? just remind ourselves to sometimes "turn off the computer, go outside" and enjoy what is around us.
